A 19-year-old suspect remained jailed without bond Sunday as Chesterfield County police searched for additional people who fired weapons in the 1:30 a.m. shooting near Virginia State University dormitories.
Investigators are trying to determine what triggered the gunfire and whether other shooters acted in self-defense or were among the aggressors; police have not said how many others may have fired.
Camron Harris, 19, of Henrico was arrested more than 14 hours later in a dormitory closet and is due in court Monday on four malicious wounding counts and four firearm felony counts.
