What likely fuels suspicion is the structure: the DLC inserts two chapters between Chapters 5 and 6, during a one-year time jump in the main story. That can look like missing material. But developers say they chose that gap because it was an unexplored period in Enzo’s rise, and reviews describe the expansion as a short, self-contained addition that mainly deepens Ennio Salieri’s backstory and ties the prequel more closely to earlier *Mafia* games. The content scope also fits a typical post-launch expansion rather than obviously withheld main-story content. It adds a few hours of story, new Free Ride jobs and challenges, collectibles, weapons, vehicles, outfits, and achievements, and is sold for $10. So the fair answer is that players can reasonably be skeptical because the chapters sit mid-campaign, but the available evidence from the developers and the expansion’s design supports it being post-launch DLC, not proven cut content.

Update 1.010 went live on August 14 for all Mafia: The Old Country players, bundling base-game changes with the paid Man of Honor expansion.
Man of Honor adds two story chapters set between Chapters 5 and 6, following Enzo Favara and Ennio Salieri; players can access them from the main menu after completing Chapter 5 or start a new game with them enabled.
Free Ride also gains a new map-pinning feature for all players, while DLC owners get Salieri-themed Jobs and harder Challenges from his Porto Almaro hideout.
PC players also receive upscaler updates—AMD FSR 4.0.3, Nvidia DLSS 4.5 and Intel XeSS 3.05—alongside DLC rewards including 3 guns, 3 vehicles, 2 horses and new outfits.
