Apple Ships iOS 27 With 14 CarPlay Wallpapers and Siri AI for iPhone 15 Pro

iOS 27 is now available to developers and public beta testers, adding CarPlay video apps, Siri AI, richer navigation tools and audio interface upgrades ahead of a broader September launch.
CarPlay can now play video on a car display while parked, then switch to audio-only when the vehicle starts moving; Apple TV is the first confirmed supported app.
Siri AI brings hands-free conversations to CarPlay and syncs those chats back to iPhone, but it requires Apple Intelligence hardware starting with the iPhone 15 Pro.
Navigation apps including Apple Maps and Google Maps can share route data with vehicles so EVs can compare range against a trip and suggest charging stops.
Apple also said wireless CarPlay is more reliable in iOS 27, with better GPS accuracy, natural-language routing requests and 14 new wallpapers, though automakers still must enable some features.
