Summary
More than 900 homes and small businesses in Seminole County, Florida, can now get Spectrum Internet, mobile, TV and voice service as the company nears completion of its local network expansion.
Up to 1-Gig service reached those locations through Spectrum’s multi-year rural buildout, part of a $7 billion private investment plan to add 100,000 miles of fiber and connect 1.7 million new U.S. locations.
$15,000 went to Christian Tech Center Ministries in Longwood through Spectrum’s Beyond the Build Digital Education program to support digital access and literacy for students and families.
Local officials and the nonprofit tied the broadband expansion and grant to a broader push to narrow the digital divide and support education, small businesses and county growth.
