Nine reports filed in 48 hours prompted BBB North Alabama to warn that fake remote data-entry jobs tied to a purported Huntsville employer were seeking applicants’ banking and personal information.
Applicants said they found the jobs on ZipRecruiter or Indeed, completed a brief online questionnaire, got near-immediate offers, then received onboarding forms requesting direct-deposit details and, in some cases, checks to buy equipment.
Parkway Greenhouse LLC and Parkway Greenhouse and Flower Pots LLC were named in the offers, but BBB said neither business matches the listed address—13605 S. Memorial Parkway—and it found no evidence linking the person in state records to the scam.
Reports came from eight states outside Alabama, and most applicants said they dealt with someone using the name Daniel Munoz; BBB also could not independently find a current listing for the data-entry role.
Employment scams were the BBB Scam Tracker’s second-riskiest category in 2025, with a median reported loss of $1,000, and the top risk for adults ages 18 to 34.
