Georgia and Progressive said the insurer’s logo will appear on Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium this season, extending Progressive’s push into on-field college football advertising.
More than 30 Georgia players have been arrested since January 2023, Fox News reported, mostly in vehicular cases such as reckless driving, making the auto-insurance tie-up an immediate target for online jokes.
The sponsorship also includes sideboard features, in-venue LED signage, digital and social media integrations, and other game-day activations aimed at fans.
Georgia athletic director Josh Brooks framed the deal as a new revenue stream for student-athlete resources, while the program joins 12 other schools in Progressive’s 13-team college football initiative.
