boAt's Storm Call 4, launched in India in May 2026, is among a small group of smartwatches offering a built-in USB-C charging port instead of a proprietary puck or pogo-pin charger.
USB-C remains rare on smartwatches because an open port makes dust- and water-sealing harder on devices meant for swimming and constant wrist exposure.
Other niche models, including boAt's Ultima Vogue 2 and Colmi's P80, also use USB-C; Colmi says its IP67-rated watch uses a rubber seal, while the Storm Call 4 claims IP68 without an obvious cover.
Major brands such as Apple, Google and Samsung use USB-C widely on other devices but still avoid it on wearables, leaving charging compatibility fragmented across the smartwatch market.
