Aug. 28 is set for President Donald Trump to present the Congressional Space Medal of Honor to the four-member Artemis II crew at Johnson Space Center in Houston.
Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch and Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen are being honored for Artemis II’s 10-day lunar mission, completed on April 10 aboard Orion.
That flight sent astronauts beyond the Moon for the first time in more than five decades and set a new record for the farthest distance humans have traveled from Earth.
NASA said the Houston ceremony will be livestreamed on its live page, widening access to the award event.
