Quantum Computing Inc. said it will pursue active acquisitions to expand its core business, marking a shift toward scaling through deals rather than relying mainly on internal development.
The $2.0 billion Nasdaq-listed company said targets would bolster its integrated photonics, semiconductor and advanced manufacturing capabilities, adding assets such as fabs, design teams and specialty processes.
Management tied the strategy to commercialization of its room-temperature quantum and AI acceleration platforms, aligning the push with previously highlighted drivers including the NHanced deal and Fab 2 expansion.
Upcoming quarters will test whether the strategy lifts sales, margins and fab utilization, while investors watch deal terms, earnout milestones and whether the company converts its order pipeline into larger repeat contracts.
