An Aug. 19 SEC Form 4 showed Tapestry chief legal officer and secretary David E. Howard disposed of 4,884 shares valued at about $643,000.
The shares were withheld non-discretionarily to cover tax liabilities tied to restricted stock unit vesting, not sold in a voluntary open-market transaction.
Howard still directly holds 28,616 Tapestry shares, a stake valued at roughly $3.77 million at the Aug. 19 close of $131.72.
Tapestry shares had returned 35% over the past year through the transaction date, leaving the $26.6 billion luxury group trading near recent highs.
