Online footage showed a large blaze at the Izhora industrial site in St. Petersburg's Kolpino district, a major heavy-industry zone that includes military-linked enterprises.
Monitoring and OSINT channels said no drone attacks had been recorded around the time of the fire, leaving the cause unclear.
The Izhora site houses metallurgy, metalworking and heavy-machinery facilities, along with enterprises tied to Russia's energy and nuclear industries.
The fire adds to a run of incidents near St. Petersburg: an industrial park in Vsevolozhsk burned in July, and a separate drone attack that month sparked a major fire at a Wildberries warehouse.
