Summary
Las Vegas hotels and tourism officials are rolling out aggressive Canada-focused promotions after Canadian visits fell about 18% in 2025, or roughly 250,000 travelers.
The drop followed Trump's tariffs and annexation rhetoric, hitting a city where Canada has long been the biggest international feeder market and putting tourism spending, gambling revenue and related jobs under pressure.
Circa, the D and Golden Gate have offered a 1:1 Canadian-to-U.S. dollar exchange since January; they say it has drawn more than 75,000 Canadians and generated $15 million in slot coin-in.
MGM is marketing a $330 all-inclusive stay for two at Luxor and Excalibur, while Air Canada is offering 35% off select Las Vegas flight-and-hotel packages through Sept. 28.
The push comes as Strip gaming revenue, down about 4% in fiscal 2025, shows a modest 2026 rebound from conventions, business travel and major events, with luxury demand holding up better than the broader market.
