Samsung Opens 2GB One UI 9 Watch Beta for Galaxy Watch 8 in South Korea

Samsung has started One UI 9 Watch beta testing for the Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic in South Korea, with firmware ZZH3 weighing 2,010.76MB and carrying the Aug. 5, 2026 security patch.
The Wear OS 7-based update adds a redesigned interface, expanded watch-face customization, new safety tools, and deeper Samsung Health metrics including aerobic load, sleep vital signs, and heart-health tracking.
Samsung also streamlined enrollment through the Samsung Members app, letting users accept general beta terms once instead of re-approving them for each smartwatch model.
For now, the beta is limited to Bluetooth and LTE Watch 8 variants in South Korea, but Samsung typically extends such programs to the US, UK, India, Poland, and Germany soon after.
Older Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch 6 models are also expected to join later testing waves as Samsung broadens One UI 9 Watch across its lineup.
