Georgia Captures Top 10 Fugitive Drake Keef, 32, in Stevie Thompson Death Probe

Drake Ladon Keef, 32, was arrested Wednesday after a Georgia manhunt and booked into the Floyd County Jail, ending the search for a Top 10 fugitive tied to Stevie Marie Thompson’s death.
Keef was wanted on warrants alleging aggravated battery, hit-and-run and driving with a suspended license, all linked by investigators to the case stemming from a late-night Aug. 22 incident in Rome.
Bartow County deputies helped make the arrest, but authorities have not said where Keef was found, what evidence connected him to Thompson, or whether additional charges are coming.
Stevie Marie Thompson, 35, died after the incident, yet police still have not disclosed her cause or manner of death, what they believe happened, or whether she and Keef knew each other.
Thompson’s family has launched a fundraiser that had raised nearly $4,000 toward an $8,000 goal, seeking funeral support while investigators continue to piece together the circumstances of her death.
