Friday’s theatrical release moved a step closer after Coyote vs. Acme finally premiered in Los Angeles on Wednesday to glowing reviews and strong audience buzz.
March 2025 rescue buyer Ketchup Entertainment revived the film after Warner Bros. Discovery shelved it in November 2023 for a tax write-off, ending years of limbo.
Will Forte said fan pressure was decisive, calling the saga an “emotional roller coaster” and saying he had given up before online support helped get the movie into theaters.
The premiere leaned into that underdog story: a costumed Wile E. Coyote arrived with the UCLA marching band and “Thank you fans” signs, while director Dave Green credited every supporter who spoke out.
