Summary
Moscow said it could hit British military installations in Ukraine and beyond if Kyiv uses British long-range missiles against targets deep inside Russia.
Maria Zakharova issued the warning after Russia accused Ukraine of striking a shopping center in Russian-controlled Donetsk with British Storm Shadow missiles, wounding civilians including children.
The threat sharpened after Prime Minister Andy Burnham's Aug. 24 Kyiv visit, when Britain backed deeper missile cooperation and possible disclosure of British components in the SCALP system, which can strike more than 155 miles.
London rejected Russian pressure, saying it would stand "shoulder to shoulder" with Ukraine, while the Kremlin said the UK was already participating in the war.
The escalation came as Trump said he was not worried Russia would attack a NATO member and as Russia's spy chief confirmed a "semi-routine" Moscow meeting with CIA Director John Ratcliffe.
