Tony Romo Faces 3 New Milwaukee Citations After July OWI Arrest

Newly filed Milwaukee court records added three citations against Tony Romo: first-offense operating while intoxicated, unsafe passing on the right side, and possessing open intoxicants in his vehicle.
The filings stem from Romo’s July highway stop, when police said he performed poorly on field sobriety tests and refused a breathalyzer; he is due in court in September.
Romo’s spokesperson said he accepts full responsibility, called the case a civil rather than criminal matter, and said he is working with local authorities and CBS to resolve it.
CBS Sports had already placed Romo on leave until further notice after the arrest, and executives still say there is no timetable or final decision on his return to the broadcast booth.
