If you stop paying after the free period, the mower should still be able to mow locally, but the 4G-dependent extras are what you stand to lose. Those paid features include remote start, stop, and scheduling when you are away from home, live camera viewing, status checks outside Wi‑Fi range, and other cloud-connected control and tracking features. On LUBA 3 models, the 4G link also supports Mammotion’s NetRTK/iNavi positioning service, which is part of the pitch for avoiding a separate RTK antenna in some setups. Official pricing cited in Europe is €19.90 for three months or €49.90 for 12 months after the complimentary term ends. Mammotion’s web materials indicate service terms vary by model year and region, so U.S. pricing may differ, but the overall structure is the same: the hardware includes a limited free data period, then ongoing remote-access connectivity becomes a paid service. So the “hidden fee” is not a mower-use tax, but an annual cellular subscription if you want the full always-connected experience after year three.

$560 off the LUBA 3 AWD 3000H drops Mammotion’s flagship robot mower to $2,239 from $2,799, while the LUBA mini 2 AWD 1500H is $200 off at $1,799 through Aug. 31.
Both deals add a free $79 cleaning stand, and new customers can take an extra $50 off the mini 2 on Mammotion’s store after claiming a survey-based coupon.
The LUBA 3 targets larger yards up to 0.75 acres with NetRTK positioning over 4G or Wi-Fi, 30 mowing zones, 175 minutes of runtime, and an 80% slope rating.
The smaller mini 2 covers up to 0.37 acres, keeps the same all-wheel-drive 80% hill-climbing ability, and adds edging for tighter spaces as narrow as 27 inches.
ZDNET said the sale matches the lowest seen for the newly launched LUBA 3 and values the mini 2 package at roughly $330 off, though similar Mammotion promotions recur around major holidays.
