Summary
Season 2 opens with Eddie Halstead transformed from reluctant duke into a harder, more dangerous operator, as Netflix launches the new chapter of Guy Ritchie’s crime series.
Three months earlier, Eddie is pushing to reclaim land around the family’s 15,000-acre estate, expand into Italy and legal cannabis, and win parliamentary backing for that plan.
Bobby Glass becomes the main obstacle: he supports an Italian mob partnership but rejects decriminalization, while his erratic behavior leaves both Eddie and Susie chafing under his control.
Episode 4 marks Eddie’s decisive turn, when his bottled-up frustration erupts and recasts him as a ruthless crime boss rather than the affable aristocrat of Season 1.
The season pairs that darker arc with gunfights, beheadings and shifting loyalties, framing Eddie’s rise in a Michael Corleone-like trajectory toward power and damage.
