$2,000 is the floor price Mark Gurman put on Apple’s rumored foldable iPhone Ultra, which he said could ship alongside or shortly after the iPhone 18 Pro, possibly by Sept. 19.
A 5.5-inch cover display and 7.8-inch inner screen are among the leaked hardware details, along with MagSafe, Apple’s latest Pro chip and modem, and a crease Gurman said is comparable to recent Samsung foldables.
Durability is a key claim in the leak: Gurman said the device is intended to be as tough as other iPhones, though Apple has not announced whether it will match the IP68 protection only a few foldables now offer.
iOS 27 is also said to add foldable-focused multitasking, including split-screen apps and drag-and-drop between apps, as Apple prepares for its expected Sept. 9 “Surprise and Shine” launch event.
