Leaker Ice Universe said the cutout could narrow to about 13.5mm from roughly 20.7mm on the iPhone 17 Pro, a reduction of around 35%.
That outcome aligns with reports from Ross Young and Bloomberg's Mark Gurman that the iPhone 18 Pro will keep a slimmer Dynamic Island, contradicting claims from The Information that Apple would switch to a single upper-left pinhole camera.
Apple is still expected to keep 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays on the Pro models and unveil the lineup at its Sept. 9 event, while standard iPhone 18 models are rumored to slip to March 2027.
