Manufacturing led the expansion with 15.0% growth, followed by water and waste services at 14.9%, electricity production and distribution at 12.5%, and mining at 10.4%.
The broad-based August gain lifted industrial production for January-August to 11.4% year on year, the strongest growth for that period in many years.
