€428 P80 Pro and €549 P80 Ultra went on sale in Europe on Thursday, bringing TCL’s matte-style NXTPAPER AMOLED screens to its latest phones.
6.83-inch displays on both models pair 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rates and 3,200 nits peak brightness with TCL’s anti-glare, reduced-blue-light screen technology.
5,800mAh batteries, Dimensity 7400 Elite chips and a new NXTPAPER Key aim to push the reading pitch further, switching the phones into e-reader mode and extending battery life to up to a week of reading.
AI features deepen that focus: both phones reportedly ship with 500-plus e-books and can convert an ebook into an audiobook or podcast.
Camera and storage upgrades separate the Ultra from the Pro, with the higher-end model adding a 50MP 3x telephoto lens and up to 512GB of storage.
