Google is rolling out Gemini Spark upgrades over the next few weeks, letting eligible AI Pro and Ultra subscribers use one prompt to search, edit, curate and organize Google Photos content.
Spark can handle multi-step jobs such as finding vacation shots, removing background crowds, centering subjects and compiling the results into a new album without altering the original photos.
Text extraction extends the tool beyond photos: Spark can turn a concert flyer into a calendar event, summarize receipt data into a Google Doc and run recurring automations like weekly family albums with draft recap emails.
Google said new albums created by Spark stay private by default, and the system requires explicit user confirmation before external actions such as sharing links or sending emails.
