Summary
Eric James, 53, was charged Thursday with two felonies after four recording devices were found in girls' locker rooms and a dance-team dressing area at Brooke High School in Wellsburg, West Virginia.
Officials said the counts include intentionally intercepting or attempting to intercept communications and breaking and entering a nonresidence; James was suspended Wednesday and is being held in Marshall County.
Additional devices were confiscated at James' home, and school security, staff and law enforcement removed the devices from campus after students were released.
Brooke County Schools said it is cooperating with law enforcement, conducting its own investigation, and meeting with students, parents and staff to provide support as the case continues.
