Its hardware adds functions that matter to athletes and outdoor users: dual-band multi-system GPS, ECG, advanced recovery and HRV tracking, skiing and cycling analytics, and a dedicated depth sensor rated for free diving to 40 meters. Those are practical upgrades, especially for runners, cyclists, skiers and divers who want broad training data without daily charging. Battery life of up to 21 days is also a real competitive advantage in sports use. At the same time, it is clearly overbuilt for many buyers. Much of the GT 7 series’ core fitness package is already available on the cheaper standard models, including 100-plus workout modes, sleep and SpO2 tracking, NFC payments, maps, and long battery life. Independent commentary has noted that the Pro’s extra £100-equivalent premium buys relatively few exclusive capabilities beyond titanium, sapphire, ECG and the diving sensor. That makes the answer depend on the user. For serious outdoor and multisport users, the Pro’s rugged materials and specialist sensors are functional, not cosmetic. For casual gym-goers or people mainly tracking steps, sleep and heart rate, it risks being a luxury gadget with sports branding. In short, it is a real performance wearable, but one whose value only becomes clear if you actually use its advanced features.

The launch is paired with a promotional offer that lowers the watches’ initial sale prices.
The move adds Huawei’s latest smartwatch lineup to the Polish operator Polkomtel’s consumer device range under the Plus brand.
