Toxicology findings showing cocaine in Benning’s system undercut that account and turned the case into a homicide investigation; the baby died on Feb. 27 and Benning died on March 6, her 25th birthday.
A Nashville jury deliberated less than 2 hours before convicting Taylor on all counts, including second-degree murder, first-degree murder of the unborn child and two felony-murder counts.
Taylor worked in the Titans’ scouting department from 2019 to 2023, and his lawyers said they plan to appeal.
