Samsung Upgrades Smart Switch as 30% of U.S. Galaxy Z Flip8 Buyers Defect From Rivals

Samsung has updated Smart Switch so iPhone users can move data wirelessly to a Galaxy device by scanning a QR code, without installing the app on an iPhone.
The change comes as Samsung tries to capture foldable demand just as Apple unveiled its first foldable iPhone under CEO John Ternus.
Samsung said iOS users switching to the Galaxy Z Fold8 series were 1.6 times the level seen for the prior Fold7 and Flip7 generation globally.
In the U.S., 30% of Galaxy Z Flip8 buyers came from rival brands, with most purchasing a foldable phone for the first time.
