BlizzCon 2026 revealed a Geralt-themed Barbarian skin for Diablo 4 that Battle.net users get by preordering or buying The Witcher 3 expansion Songs of the Past.
Battle.net exclusivity is driving backlash because players who already own The Witcher 3 on Steam or other platforms would need another purchase to claim the cosmetic.
Fan criticism also hit the skin’s look and timing, coming a day after Blizzard said Diablo 4 will get no more expansions as the team shifts toward Diablo 5, due in 2029.
