iPhone Duo Hides Left-Edge Display Setting Ahead of October 23 Launch

Apple’s new iPhone Duo includes a hidden “Shift Left Edge” option in Display & Brightness that adds a narrow black strip along the left side of the screen.
Nicolas Lellouche spotted the setting during hands-on use after Apple’s event, and the wider fake bezel appears designed to keep the iOS back-swipe gesture working when a case overlaps that edge.
Apple sells two official accessories—the iPhone Duo Case and a Folio with Kickstand—but the feature is more likely aimed at bulkier third-party protective cases than Apple’s own designs.
Pre-orders for the foldable open October 16, with broader clarity on case behavior likely to come when first reviews arrive before the October 23 release.
