watchOS 27 is now available and removes five built-in apps or features, with the biggest change merging Find Devices, Find People and Find Items into a single Find My app.
The new map-centric Find My adds one-screen access to directions, nearby-item lookup and Precision Finding for a paired iPhone, AirPods Pro 3 or AirTag 2, while expanding sharing controls.
Walkie-Talkie has been removed entirely from the app list and Control Center, and Apple has not explained the decision; the voice-clip feature debuted in 2018 and was once pulled over an eavesdropping bug.
The App Switcher also disappears because its double-press Digital Crown gesture is being reassigned to Live Rewind AI, a feature supported only on the new Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4.
