Soros Network Disburses $40 Million, Pledges $30 Million for Michigan Senate Race

Summary
$40 million in Soros-linked money had been disbursed by end-June through Democracy PAC and Democracy PAC II to Democratic campaigns and allied groups, campaign-finance records show.
$30 million of that effort is now earmarked by Schumer-aligned Senate Majority PAC to help Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed, who also is set to attend a Sept. 28 California fundraiser hosted by Jeffrey Soros.
$9 million flowed from the Soros-funded Democracy PAC to Senate Majority PAC this cycle, while other major recipients included House Majority PAC, J Street Action Fund and the Soros family’s Justice & Public Safety PAC, which has taken in nearly $2 million.
El-Sayed’s indirect benefit from billionaire-backed outside spending has drawn Republican attacks because he has made getting money out of politics a central campaign message.
The broader scale of the Soros family’s 2026 operation may remain unclear until well after Election Day because significant political spending is routed through 501(c)(4) nonprofits that disclose annually.
