Meta’s new smart glasses went on sale in Japan on Aug. 26, with the reviewed Meta Adventurer model priced from ¥50,600 and built with cameras, speakers and a customizable action button.
The 54g glasses are noticeably heavier than ordinary eyewear, but pack onboard components including dual cameras, temple speakers, a bridge sensor, adjustable nose pads and a sliding power switch.
Battery life is rated at more than 8 hours on the glasses alone and more than 40 hours with the foldable charging case, which uses a USB-C port and locks the frame in place for charging.
Meta offers the product in three frame lines—Meta Adventurer, Meta Fury and Meta Glasses by Kylie—through its official store and Amazon Japan, in a device developed with EssilorLuxottica.
