She was refused bail and is due back in court next month. A New South Wales woman in her 40s has been charged with murder and two counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent to murder after three children were stabbed at a Valley Heights home.
A 5-year-old died at the scene despite first aid from witnesses, while the other two children — aged 1 and 3 — were taken to hospital in critical but stable condition.
Emergency services were called to Waratah Road in the Blue Mountains at about 12:45 p.m. Sunday, where the woman was also found with critical injuries.
She was refused bail and will remain in custody until her next court appearance next month.
