Arizona backed Marvin Harrison Jr. despite his slow start, with Jacoby Brissett saying no one has lost confidence in the receiver after he posted one catch for 33 yards on four targets through two games.
Mike LaFleur also downplayed concerns about Harrison's mindset, saying he is still "Marv," even as the coach gave only a qualified endorsement of the wideout's effort and said all players' standards must keep rising.
The Cardinals have not committed to force-feeding Harrison early touches, with Brissett saying the ball will go where the game dictates and LaFleur noting Arizona has other options such as Trey McBride and Kendrick Bourne.
That leaves Harrison largely in a deep-threat role — his go-route rate has risen to 33.3% from 19.9% last season — a usage that depends heavily on coverage, protection and quarterback execution.
