Three European shows — Dublin on Oct. 26, Paris on Oct. 29 and London on Oct. 30 — will make up Macklemore’s “Free Palestine” tour, with all ticket proceeds going to Palestinian aid groups.
Live Nation said the concerts will center Palestine and Palestinians while raising humanitarian support; beneficiaries include UNRWA USA, Anera, Medical Aid for Palestinians and Palestine Children’s Relief Fund.
Macklemore framed the tour as a response to what he called attempts to silence pro-Palestine voices after he was removed as an opener from Ed Sheeran’s U.S. tour over onstage speeches at MetLife Stadium.
That fallout already prompted Macklemore to donate his full $1 million opener salary, while Sheeran — after initially defending his apolitical stance — later called the situation in Gaza catastrophic and unjustifiable.
