Summary
More than 3.4 million installs had been recorded for Muse by Thursday, Sensor Tower said, after the AI app launched on Sept. 8 and climbed to No. 1 on both the U.S. App Store and Google Play.
A 27% jump in daily active users on Wednesday followed Meta Connect, where Meta unveiled new Muse features including avatar video chat, Mac computer-use support, connectors and planned smart-glasses integration.
Meta had already begun pushing Muse across Facebook and Instagram on Sept. 9, and within 10 days the app took the majority of Meta’s house-ad inventory, ahead of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp promotions.
That marketing push is broadening beyond Meta’s own apps—Sensor Tower said Muse ranked among the top 10 brands by ad spend by Sept. 22—but ads made up only 6% of impressions through Sept. 19.
Other firms also show strong traction, though with wide variance: Apptopia estimates 4.3 million downloads and Appfigures about 2.3 million, underscoring how fast Muse is growing even while available only in the U.S. and Canada.
