Clancy Sides Delay Motion to Probe 1 Holdout Juror Before Sept. 29 Hearing

Lindsay Clancy’s defense and Massachusetts prosecutors agreed to postpone Kevin Reddington’s motion to investigate holdout juror Michael Desronvil, pending Judge William Sullivan’s approval.
Edward Paltzik, Desronvil’s lawyer, said he lacks access to impounded material needed to prepare a response, making the juror-focused motion unlikely to be heard Tuesday.
A 9 a.m. status conference is still expected in Plymouth — Clancy’s first court appearance since the Sept. 4 mistrial — and prosecutors are due to update the court on next steps.
The delayed motion had sought an inquiry into Desronvil, the lone juror who held Clancy guilty of murder, while 11 others favored a verdict of not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect.
Clancy faces three first-degree murder charges in the January 2023 strangling deaths of her children, and the court is also weighing a double-jeopardy bid to dismiss the case instead of retrying it.
