Michael Desronvil, the lone juror who blocked a unanimous verdict, made his first direct public remarks in a video aired Monday, thanking supporters and urging attention back to Cora, Dawson and Callan.
The statement follows a Sept. 4 mistrial in Lindsay Clancy’s murder case, after Desronvil held to a guilty view despite 11 other jurors and later denied claims that he pushed for conviction while harboring reasonable doubt.
Attorney Edward Paltzik said Desronvil has “zero doubt” and rejected as fabricated a local report about prior domestic-violence allegations, as a public feud with Clancy defense lawyer Kevin Reddington intensified.
Tuesday’s status conference is expected to bring prosecutors’ update on a possible retrial, while Clancy’s defense seeks dismissal of the charges and an investigation into juror complaints against Desronvil.
