Manus Launches 2.0 AI Platform With 32% Lower Costs as It Takes On Meta

Manus unveiled Manus 2.0 as a rebuilt agentic AI platform across web, desktop and mobile, adding Cue for personal agents and Cascade for enterprise orchestration after re-emerging as an independent company.
Cascade is central to the pitch: Manus said one tested setup used 23.2% fewer tokens, finished tasks 28.2% faster and cut run costs 32%, though it did not disclose the tasks or configuration.
The release also adds Cloud Computer for persistent execution, event-triggered automations tied to services like email and Slack, and Manus Studio, a workspace spanning documents, code, video and game development.
Remote-control features let Manus operate in an authorized visible workspace on a user's computer, a capability analysts said is becoming enterprise-relevant even as governance, isolation and approval controls lag the autonomy.
The launch puts Manus directly against Meta's Muse and new enterprise agent platform after China's NDRC blocked Meta's planned acquisition in April, sharpening scrutiny on data handling, portability and operational continuity.
