Trump Nears Approval for White House Visitor Screening Center, Replacing Tent Entry System

Summary
Thursday’s expected approval would clear a new White House visitor screening center, a Trump campus project that would overhaul how guests enter the grounds.
The plan targets a long-criticized security process that now routes visitors through temporary trailers and tents instead of a permanent screening facility.
Unlike several other Trump changes to the White House complex, the screening center has drawn broad bipartisan support, putting it on track to become one of his least contested construction efforts.
