Google Store Cuts Pixel Watch 5 by Up to $70 Ahead of Oct. 6 Prime Days

If you have a strong trade-in phone and already know you want a Pixel 11, buying now is the safer bet. Google’s elevated trade-in values run until October 29, and they are substantial: up to $460 for Pixel 11, $650 for Pixel 11 Pro, and $850 for Pixel 11 Pro Fold. More importantly, direct Pixel 11 discounts are no longer just hypothetical. Google is already taking $100 off the Pixel 11 and $200 off the Pixel 11 Pro, with the Pro XL seeing a $250 cut through October 11, while Amazon is reportedly matching or even slightly beating some prices. That means the ideal window may be right now, because you can capture both a direct discount and a still-strong trade-in value. Historically, Google’s best launch trade-ins tend to fade over time, even if Black Friday brings headline price cuts. Earlier reporting on the Pixel 11 cycle already showed trade-in values dropping after launch promos ended, and those losses can easily outweigh an extra $50 to $100 off later. Waiting makes more sense only if you do not have a valuable device to trade, or if you expect to buy through a carrier that may offer aggressive bill-credit promotions. Black Friday could produce lower sticker prices, but there is no guarantee Google will keep trade-ins this high at the same time. So for most upgraders with a recent Pixel, Galaxy, or iPhone to turn in, the better move is to buy during the current discount window rather than gamble on a larger late-October or Black Friday deal.
