Less than a year after its founding, Hark opened Hark Pro to broad use as a free AI personal assistant with a paid tier for heavier users.
Hark Pro is built around a computer-use model that can access email, calendars, files and payments to complete tasks end-to-end, aiming to substitute for a user's computer rather than just answer prompts.
A small live window shows the agent navigating websites while it works — a trust feature Hark says supports its privacy pitch against larger rivals such as Meta and OpenAI.
The startup argues its narrower model is faster and cheaper for computer tasks, though that may trade off against the broader knowledge of frontier LLMs.
Hark is pairing the software launch with a longer-term hardware push, saying it plans an AI-native device in 2027 that it claims will be a new product category.
