Summary
iOS 27.2 Beta 3 is now available to developers alongside new iPadOS, watchOS, macOS, tvOS, HomePod and VisionOS builds, with Apple emphasizing stability, usability and small enhancements over major additions.
The update refines the new Health app with clearer “Health Age” and “Longevity” tabs, date-specific graph tracking and reformatted info sections, while also tweaking UI elements such as the Settings battery icon and silenced Messages pins.
Apple also patched the “Airlift” sandbox-escape vulnerability, though it still lists intermittent Health summary failures and some broken Shortcut automations as known issues.
Performance gains appear marginal in benchmark testing and battery life is broadly unchanged; Dynamic Island call-context integration remains unfinished, while FaceTime Dual Capture continues from earlier 27.2 betas.
Apple is expected to ship an iOS 27.2 release candidate around Oct. 13, with the public release projected for Oct. 19 after the public beta 2 rollout earlier on Oct. 6.
