Quest games vary widely in size, and larger modern titles can add up quickly. The good news is that many new owners do not need dozens of games installed at once, and the headset gives full access to the same software library as the Quest 3. The bad news is that heavy users may end up deleting and re-downloading games more often than they would like, especially if they use subscription catalogs. At roughly $297, the 3S is a strong value. It makes sense as an entry headset. If you already know you want better optics or more room for a growing library, the 256GB version or the regular Quest 3 is the safer long-term buy.
