Summary
Brooklyn hosted LeBron James' first preseason appearance for Philadelphia on Thursday, when he also delivered his first chalk toss in a 76ers uniform after signing in the offseason.
The game marked the preseason's first look at the Sixers' full star-studded starting group together: James, Jaylen Brown, Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe.
Only Brown and Edgecombe had played in Philadelphia's preseason opener, a 120-97 win over defending champion New York, making Thursday the clearest early test of the retooled roster.
James joined the 76ers in July after eight seasons with the Lakers, and Philadelphia is betting the new lineup can carry that debut-night promise deep into June.
