Philadelphia said five players will miss Thursday night’s preseason game against Brooklyn: Anfernee Simons, Dominick Barlow, Adem Bona, Ariel Kukporti and Tacko Fall.
LeBron James, 41, is still set to play, giving 76ers fans their first look at him since his July 26 arrival and marking his debut with a fourth NBA franchise.
The Nets game is Philadelphia’s second preseason outing and opens a closely watched new chapter built around James despite the shortened lineup.
