Summary
Costa Rican investigators released surveillance video and asked the public to help identify a woman sought in the homicide of a 74-year-old American found dead Sept. 27 in Playas del Coco.
Authorities said the man, identified as Fleming, entered a condominium near the beach at 4:50 p.m., and the woman was later seen leaving without him.
Investigators found the American's body with head injuries they believe were caused by blunt objects, and said the suspect has not yet been identified.
Police described her as about 1.60 meters tall with a fair complexion, slender build and black hair; she was wearing blue denim shorts, sandals and a white bra with chain-like accessories.
The Judicial Investigation Agency, Costa Rica's FBI-equivalent, urged anyone with information about the woman or the case to call 800-800-0645.
