Summary
Sandisk will be the exclusive 'Made for Meta' storage partner for Meta VR Glasses, supplying certified microSD and USB-C flash drive options when the headset launches in spring 2027.
Meta's $1,300 glasses will ship with 128GB of internal storage and support microSD expansion up to 1TB—the first time a standalone Meta headset has offered expandable storage.
The official accessories have been tested for compatibility, but Meta and Sandisk have not disclosed pricing, capacity lineup details or the recommended microSD speed class.
A comparable unbranded 1TB Sandisk microSD Express card sells for about $360, suggesting expandable storage could let Meta hold the headset's base price down while charging only users who need more capacity.
