Democrats Lead or Tie in 4 Pennsylvania House Races as GOP Defends Narrow Majority

Summary
New Times/Inquirer/Siena polls show Democrats ahead in two key Pennsylvania House races, narrowly leading a third and tied in a fourth, strengthening their push to flip seats Republicans won in 2024.
In the 8th District, Democrat Paige Cognetti leads Republican Rep. Rob Bresnahan 51% to 46%; her campaign has hammered him over alleged insider stock trading, and voters gave her an 11-point advantage on corruption.
The four districts — the 1st, 7th, 8th and 10th — span northeastern working-class areas, growing Hispanic communities, a Philadelphia suburb and more conservative central counties, making them a microcosm of national House battlegrounds.
About 400 likely voters were surveyed in each district from Oct. 16 to 22, with district-level margins of error of roughly 5.7 to 5.8 points.
The results add to warning signs for Republicans, who carried Pennsylvania strongly in 2024 and flipped two House seats there, but now risk losing ground that could cost them their slim House majority.
